Mia Hodgson and Anna Smith both represented the club over 60m at two open indoor meetings in Gateshead. In the meeting on the 16th November 2009, both U15 girls ran PB's and won their individual races. Mia ran 8:36 and Anna ran 8:50. The following month at the meeting on the 17th December, Mia improved her time over 60m to 8:34, recording another win. Anna was 3rd in 8:61 on this occasion.
More recently, under 20 athlete Rob Patton also tested himself over 60m at the North East Indoor Champs - Gateshead, 10th January. Rob ran 7:41 in the heats to qualify for the final where he ran a strong 7:37 to finish 5th. This time was only 0.03 outside of his PB.
