In the main 10km race, Chester-le-Street had four men running. First home was Andrew Coffer who finished in 37th position in 37:11. He was followed home by Richard Ellis in 37:54, vet 55 David McGuckin in 38:38 and Simon Wells.
In the junior races, Anna Fawcett finished 2nd in the U13 girls race, only 7-seconds behind Birtley’s Lydia Turner. Chris Peverley narrowly missed a podium position in the U15 boys race finishing 4th but only 9 seconds behind the winner. Chris was supported by Joel Atkinson in 26th. Joe Armstrong came home in 9th and Brandon Feeley in 21st in the U13 boys.
The previous day, James Raven tested himself over 5km in the Albert Park 5km leading from gun to tape to win in a PB time of 16:34.
