Sarah Wilkinson proved too good for the rest of the surprisingly large field in this 2 lap event, taking the lead after less than a quarter of the first lap. Sarah only had Morpeth's Jane Mooney for company as they hit the long slope near the end of the first circuit. Shortly after this the Morpeth athlete had to give way to Sarah's persitant pressure leaving the Chester star to complete a lonely final lap for a 30 sec victory.
New recruit Alison Moore surprised watchers and herself with a very good mid field performance.
