In a very competitive race Sarah Wilkinson, despite a superb run, had to settle for 2nd place behind former junior world cross country runner Rosie Smith of Durham Harriers. Sarah clocked 9 mins -53 secs only 6 seconds off the lead. Claire Simpson in 3rd spot showed a return to form with 10 mins-00 her second fastest time on the testing 1.8 mile course . Angela Hunter also recorded a much improved run to take 7th place, while Dyllan -Pickavance Clarke in her first senior cross country race put in a really great performance to finish 9th.
