On a very cold day, that was coupled with persistent heavy rain, Freya Murray, running under the colours of her Scottish club, made a very impressive return to track competition. Competing over 3000 metres the British International recorded 9 mins 19 secs to comprehensibly defeat intercounties 5k track champion Kerry Harty by 15 seconds.
